For your next Shabbat or holiday meal, nothing beats a classic brisket. Ours has just the right amount of fat, and we expertly trim it to your satisfaction. Located just below the chuck, a well cooked brisket always delivers on flavour. It is sometimes referred to as “The Point” or the “Deckle.”

BEST USES:

Making the classic brisket recipe usually involves red wine, ketchup or tomato paste, onions, carrots and water, in addition to the spices you enjoy using. Some chefs even toss in a little Coca Cola! Always pat the meat dry with paper towels before prepping for cooking. Cook your brisket with the fat side up, while cooking low and slow (300 degrees) covered with foil, so it will result in a lot of gravy and a moist brisket. Once cool, slice against the grain, and place it back into the gravy to ensure that each piece is well coated. Brisket goes well with potatoes, kasha and bowties, couscous, and latkes.
