Two inches thick and over a kilogram of weight, and it’s no longer called a steak. It’s called a “party.”
It’s one of the choicest of cuts in kosher. We make sure that each steak has a nice sized bone – which helps keep it moist – as well as a small amount of marbling, which will melt into the meat. Whether cooked rare, medium or well done, the results are mouth-watering and melty tender.
This is the manly-man’s steak, chunky and meaty for Mr. Hangry. It cooks up flavourful and juicy, due to its large bone, which helps keep it moist.
The approximate size of each steak is 1.3 kg and is 2” thick.

Whether you are cooking your steak on the BBQ, or a hot cast iron pan, you can never go wrong with a rib steak. Season both sides with Kosher or Himalayan salt and plenty of cracked black pepper. Try rubbing fresh garlic on both sides, in addition to any of your favourite steak seasoning. Once done, allow it to rest for 10 minutes, to seal all of the juices back into the meat before serving.
