Change up your ordinary stew, and ramp it up with the exquisite taste of lamb. Our lamb stew meat is cut from the shoulder, and not the neck, which results in more tender meat. We are proud to offer Southdown Lamb, the “Aberdeen Angus” of the sheep industry, hailing from our farm in Hamilton. All of our lambs are free range, antibiotic and hormone free.

Once defrosted, this lamb stew can be made the same way you would prepare beef stew. For maximum flavor, try placing the meat in seasoned flour (salt, pepper, and garlic powder). Dust off the flour and place in a hot pan or Dutch oven with oil. Brown all sides quickly, and then add your seasonings and liquid (broth, wine or water) and place in the oven. Serve alongside mashed potatoes, mashed sweet potatoes or cauliflower. Throw in some diced carrots, celery and onions in the pan for extra flavour.
